Testing and updating your world

It’s rare for a world to be perfect after a single upload. Several convenient methods are provided for adjusting the look and experience of your world as you test and refine it.

Testing in the app

By testing in the app, you can check how your world will behave once it is published.

When a world is uploaded to cluster, it can be updated while players remain inside the space. The basic workflow is to enter the world in cluster with the account you want to test, make adjustments in CCK, and upload the updates as needed.

  • Testing space
    • You can upload to specific platforms only, allowing you to test your world several times faster.
    • You can also test in-world purchases.
  • Script logs
  • Slash commands
    • Special commands that allow you to modify the state of players and items in the space instance in real time.

Additionally, from the Developer Menu, you can display statistics such as frame rates.

Testing in the editor

You can also test basic functionality within the editor. This is suitable for non-interactive elements, such as material adjustments, where you want to see results in real time.
